The first step
The process as simple as possible: Step 1 – Scope Discussion: Give me a call and let’s discuss your budget & your vision. Share the type of portrait you would like by sending me examples and your most favourite photo's. Next, I will send you a quotation and propose a desposit to get started.
Step 2, In some cases it is wise to arrange a professional portrait photo session. Having professional photos is a great benefit & will give better portrait painting results. I work carefully with you to ensure that your painting will be a true, vivid portrait, that captures both likelyness as wel as her or his spirit. Step 3 – Finalize Portrait Details. I do color studies, Paint acryl with pallet knife and I hand stretch all my canvases on the best quality Belgian linnen.
My price for a completed portrait painting with pallet knife usually falls between €3,000 and €14,000 depending on the complexity of the work. Step 4 – Completion & Delivery Upon completion of the painting (usually 3 weeks to 3 months depending on complexity), balance is due in full prior to shipping. Shipping and delivery cost is responsibility of client.
